This in-depth program is designed for individuals who want to become certified trichologists and gain the knowledge, credibility, and tools to launch or expand a trichology practice.

Upon successful completion, you will receive two official certificates:

  1. Certified Trichologist Certificate from the World Trichology Society

  2. Certified Trichologist Program Diploma from the World Trichology Academy, licensed by the Florida Department of Education

Certification Program Structure

Academic Coursework (Online)

  • The program includes 7 courses covering 28 chapters

  • Courses are self-paced and completed online

  • Chapters are released as tuition is paid

  • Each chapter includes:

    • Homework (for self-study; not submitted)

    • Chapter test (must be submitted and passed with 75% or higher; unlimited retakes allowed)

  • Timeline: Approximately 6 to 28 months to complete

  • Minimum pace: 1 chapter per month

Clinical Training (Virtual or In-Person)

  • 40-hour Clinical Training sessions are held four times per year

  • Training must be completed within 3 months of finishing academic coursework

  • Students choose between virtual or in-person format

  • In-person attendees are responsible for travel and lodging

  • A final examination is taken after clinical training

Eligibility Requirements

Educational Requirement

To enroll, you must confirm completion of high school or its equivalent:

  • High School Graduates:
    May self-certify* or submit an official transcript or diploma from their high school.

  • Home-Schooled Students:
    May self-certify* or provide documentation that meets their state’s requirements for home school completion.

  • GED Holders:
    Must have a score report sent directly from the testing service to the World Trichology Academy.

You must be a resident of one of the following U.S. states:
